Construction and waste management industry insiders know that MEILLER superstructures are not only to be found on the stand belonging to this family enterprise, a company steeped in tradition. Close cooperation with all well-known truck manufacturers means that MEILLER products are to be seen practically everywhere at the trade fair venue. Joint development creates system solutions which combine technical innovations with the robustness required during operation.
The focus on the MEILLER stand in Pavilion P33 this year is on an important issue – safety. New solutions make transportation safer than ever before, both for drivers and other road users. Intelligent concepts for securing the load also make the task of the driver much easier.
In addition, MEILLER also provides a further practical feature for pallets, as the three-way tipper and the Bibenne (designed specifically for the French market) combine an interior width of 2.42 m with robust steel side walls. This makes both tippers perfect transportation media for pallets and transport companies are even more flexible in the use of their vehicles. MEILLER's proven Bordmatic is also optionally available for this equipment.
Examples of the safety innovations presented by MEILLER in Hanover include new side wall lashing lugs with a lashing force of 2 tons at each lashing point. These are particularly suitable for high loads that extend beyond the side wall. The side wall lashing lugs ideally complement the proven floor-retractable lashing lugs which can be easily concealed if they are not required. Moreover, plug-in floor lashing lugs in the corners provide a particularly high lashing force of up to 8 tons.
In addition, the driver also maintains an overview in every situation with the new rear and loading area visibility package consisting of cameras and LED lights. With appropriate tarpaulin systems, each version of which can be experienced at the IAA Commercial Vehicles, MEILLER proves once again that the “one-stop shop” concept also pays off in terms of safety and efficiency functions.
This philosophy has been pursued by the family enterprise since its foundation. MEILLER revolutionised the transportation sector with its most important invention, the hydraulic tipper. Having built on this success, MEILLER has achieved a vast number of technical innovations up until today through its holistic approach. One central cornerstone of product development at MEILLER has been and remains today the issue of safety.
