Highlights of the trade fair were the new RS26 hooklift, the i.s.a.r.-control remote 3 and the MEILLER Eco-Kupplung® (Eco-clutch). In addition to these, a three-way tipper with centre-axle trailer, a skip handler, two rear tippers for the international and Swiss market, a heat-insulated semi-trailer and a tipper for rock transport, which is particularly suited for heavy work, were also exhibited at the venue. The portfolio exhibited primarily emphasised safety and efficiency aspects of these products.
Another issue which was also addressed was the production costs which had risen notably since last year. Aside from material costs, energy cost in particular rose in 2019, and HR costs were once again extremely high in Eastern Europe. These factors forced MEILLER to increase its prices, with the average price increase across all product groups being 3.4 %. However, the extreme durability and high resale value of superior-quality MEILLER products offset these price adjustments to the benefit of customers.
“Once again, bauma demonstrated impressively that, as the world's leading trade fair, it deserves its reputation as one of the most important international meeting places for the sector. We're extremely proud of our team, because their efforts made this successful trade fair week possible. Once again, bauma proved to be a complete success for us”, summed up CEO Dr. Daniel Böhmer.
